Language is used strongly to determine a character, and for the audience to base a stereotype on where they come from based of their language and accent and therefore judge what they would see they would stereotypically act like. Therefore in class we looked at the importance of language and how it can be used along with movement to determine a character for example we started to speak "Gibberish" the others didn't know what we meant but we did therefore Language is important in order for people to understand what we are trying to say etc. We then looked at different accents and language variations, Northern England (Yorkshire), proper English, slang English etc. This then helped us to understand characters more and their motivations, again it helped to base a stereotype on my character for example when speaking in proper English my character spoke with a very soothing, well pronounced voice to show his status and pride.
